Attendance and Attainment

Research has shown that regular attendance and good punctuality are crucial factors in pupils achieving their full potential.

At Henry Bradley, we are committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum, encouraging our pupils to strive for excellence and to improving attendance and punctuality.  We believe that for a pupil to reach their full educational potential, a high level of attendance is essential.

Regular attendance is not only a legal requirement, it establishes good habits which will be valued later by employers and is vital if our pupils are to gain the full benefit of the education provided to maximise their learning and achieve their full potential.  We ensure that all staff are carrying out appropriate measures that will help to safeguard children and promote their welfare, alongside understanding the importance and relevance of attendance.

Doing all we can to ensure good attendance is, therefore, a priority at Henry Bradley.

We work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that every pupil attends school every day and on time. We are always pleased to work together with parents/carers in resolving any difficulties but we are also committed to improving attendance levels at Henry Bradley.

Attendance is of high importance at Henry Bradley and our whole school approaches ensure it is part of daily and weekly discussions with our pupils and families.

Attendance is monitored on a daily basis, with patterns scrutinised on a weekly basis.  Pupils and families are made aware of any concerns raised about attendance in a timely manner in order to provide the relevant support.

Please read the attendance policy located under key information-policies for further information including our escalation processes.
