In KS1, we cover an engaging and exciting range of topics and learning styles to ignite a positive relationship with learning.
Spring 1:
This half term we will (hopefully) see an improvement in the weather! We look forward to moving PE outside, attending more sporting events and challenging our learning. We will have some theme days this half term which will include Chinese New Year and Martin Luther King Day, this will support RE and History learning.
Y2 have made some great progress in their reading, and we continue to develop this through more independent comprehensions and discussions of texts.
- Maths - 10 more & 10 less, understanding money and multiplication and division
- English - using speech marks, understanding different sentence types and story writing
- Science - Physics: Understanding the earth and its movements. Biology: Understanding animals & humans.
We believe in learning both inside and outside of the classroom, this half term will see us take a science trip to Eurkea! We will be attending sporting events ran by Qualitas Sport, giving the chance to access different sports in different environments.
Please see our class newsletter for more on our subjects for this term.
